Happy Birthday to my mom (June 30th)

It was my mom's birthday yesterday.  She would have been 70 years old.  And as if I need any more reminding of her, I was unpacking a random box from the garage and came across an item that belonged to her.  I bet she planned that!

I'm not exactly sure what this is but have an idea of what it might be.  I believe it's a measuring pad that's used to make patterns for patch-working.  Someday, I will try my skills at that :-)

In the meantime, I am so happy to say that the new ac unit is up and running! 

My mom would be so proud :-)
