Stuck at home/Homeschooling - Coronovirus

By now, the Coronavirus has caused everything to shut down. We are talking EVERYTHING!  Parks, schools, government buildings, bars, restaurants are only allowed to provide curbside take-out... all sports and gatherings.  It's insane!!!

Graham and Charlie started their Day 1 of homeschooling today.  Phew! I am exhausted.  Ha ha!!! In the meantime, Bobby has been moving his "office" between the dining room table and Graham's bedroom.  At least Graham's "Fluffy" get to participate during some of Bob's conference calls :-)
It's quite the task to get around Graham's bedroom!
The boys are working on less screen time sometimes by playing board games like Mastermind:
And Charlie and I finished up an entire Scrabble game!
I was quite impressed with myself by playing it upside-down.  I let Charlie get away with the word "DIY" not once, but twice! He did make a good one with Q (for Quit).  I have no idea how the word "ILN" came up on the board.  Somehow or rather the tiles got shifted halfway throughout the 2-day game.  Oh well, still quite the achievement no less :-)

We are also growing our own crystals!  Does this count as the Science part of homeschooling???  Crystals are still "young" so it's still a bit tricky to spot in the jar:
So with this whole homeschooling thing, I had to clean the boys' table last night.  This is as good as it will get!
I actually had to clean up the couch and also the front foyer area as it was sort of connected/in the same room.  How did we get so messy???!

Yay for Graham and Charlie getting some work done today!  Thank goodness the school is providing some guidance and online resources, but gosh, Graham has so much to catch up already!
Charlie and I did have to step out for a while this morning to go to school and pick up some of his books.  And then, we went to a grocery store to buy some food.  The line was long but so glad how everything was so organized!  People were being very polite and did not rush or be in a frenzy:
I still can't believe how empty the freezer was.  No frozen foods left!!! Except for the ice cream section. Ha ha!
Charlie ended up buying a crystal growing kit as well and he had some colored crystals.  It will be interesting to see how everything turns out:
The boys also had their music lesson via Skype today.  Graham went first - and I was totally impressed at how the teacher was still able to tune his violin just by listening via the computer!
Graham has really improved on his violin.  So happy for him!
We took a little break and worked on a doodling project/video that was recommended by Graham's teacher.  It was a lesson by an American writer and animator Mo Willem.  I thought the boys did great!
You can't really see what Graham wrote here but Mo Willem was famous for one of his books called "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!.  So Graham wrote "Let me Drive the Bus!!!!".  Ha ha! Very creative :-)
We also doodled on some "creature that has a lot of hairs":
Here is Graham's version of Mo Willem's pigeon.  Too cute!
After the doodling session, it was time for Charlie's piano lesson.  We had to move his keyboard over to the dining area/section since Bobby was busy in Graham's bedroom and the original location of this keyboard would have been a distractions for him.  Soooo.... it all worked out eventually.  Just have to set it all up again next week!
And once all this was over, I was trying to find some patches to patch up a couple of Graham's torn shirt.  Instead, I unwrapped a towel and found this - a camel teapot??!!
I have no idea where or when or what or who this teapot came from!  The box has been in the garage ever since we moved in and I have not opened this box up since we moved back from Abu Dhabi.  So that was quite a nice surprise.  Almost like Christmas! LOL!!!

Well, Day 2 of homeschooling tomorrow.  Can't believe there's 2 weeks of this before Spring Break. I can't wait! Ha ha!  Although I won't be surprised if homeschooling continues even after Spring Break.  Things are not looking up at this point!
