Botanical Gardens by night (Feb 21)

As you can see, based on the title, I am dragging again on updating the blog!  Well, actually I am going to blame Bobby because he is now working from home.  Darn Coronavirus!!!

Can't believe this event at the Botanical Gardens was almost 3 weeks ago! It was a night event where we were all able to bring our torchlights and see what animals come out at night.  Although, there was actually a lady that had brought out some noctural animals.  We didn't have to go looking for them. Phew!

We invited another family to this outing as well. 4 boys total!!! And a little girl :-)
Bobby and my friend's husband that also showed up had actually got off an airplane and came straight to the Gardens with their suitcase!  So glad they were both able to join us:
Off to the Rose Garden... and the lady had some interesting animals.  Did you know that a chinchilla can't get wet??? And Charlie had Bobby carry him when she took out a snake:
An armadillo!!!  I think I remember running over one on the freeway - driving at night from Morgan City to New Orleans, back in the day when I was working in the IT world.  It's crazy what you remember. Ha ha!
This owl was the cutest thing! And so much bigger than I expected:
The owl kept looking towards its back and was also doing this funny thing with its head.  Everyone had a good laugh, as seen in this video:
Porcupine!!!
After the show was over, we went around the garden quickly before closing time.  Spider!!!
A garden installment by night:
The cherry blossoms are just about to bloom:
Family we-fie!  Graham is making such a funny face. Ha ha!
Glad we are making use of our membership at the Botanical Gardens.  It's nice also that it is in Torrance which is only about 20 minutes away from us vs. most of the big museums that are at least 45 minutes away (at least and more depending on how traffic is).

Probably a time to head back again to the Gardens again to see the Cherry Blossoms in full bloom!
