Yard work

We have been involving both Graham and Charlie more in the yard work these days, especially with mowing and weed-whacking.  Graham is earning $5 each time he works on either the front or back yard.  And Charlie is gaining Apprentice Points and will soon "graduate" and can start earning money too :-)
The flowers in the front yard are really coming up nicely:
The amount of rain this past week has been helpful!
Almost 4.5cm or 1.75" of rain these last few days!  Looks like Graham's little mini weather station is coming in handy :-)
Makes me happy when I see all these flowers.  Oh, I just remembered that we sprinkled some sort of butterfly mix of seeds along the side too.  Wonder if those will come up.  It has been raining a lot so just maybe??? I also added more grass seeds a few days ago in the front yard in between the rain.  Fingers crossed some of that will take too!

Graham does really well with his weed-whacking.  Although all that glass clipping is going into the drain that we had dug:
I might actually close up this drain because it seems that the water is not getting to this section.  And so far the overflow of rain water doesn't seem to be flooding the neighbor's yard anymore either.  Hmm... so maybe something seems to be working??!

This looks so much like Graham here because of those safety glasses but it's actually Charlie!
Charlie is getting so tall so fast!  And random people are still asking if the boys are twins.  I find that quite crazy because it's not like they are 1 year apart but over 2 years apart (26 months to be exact!).

Yard work takes up so much time but it's been so nice having the backyard especially and the trampoline.  The boys have been spending so much time in each since we are stuck at home.  Blessed that things have been working out for us, with all the decisions that we have made so far in our lives - knock on wood!
