Kite flying

Graham was determined to fly the new kite (this was a couple of weeks ago).  We were suppose to go home after meeting Daddy at the parking lot.  The boys were busy eating their sandwiches that we had ordered from a French bakery.  And then, when Bobby finally did arrive, Graham and Charlie were happily going back into the bakery to get some gelato.  Talk about lucky (and spoiled for sure!)!

We're down to eating in the trunk of the minivan these days.  LA county has opened up outdoor and some indoor dining, but we are just not ready yet to mingle:

Off to the beach!
Running off to use the loo.  Ha!
Time to put the kite together:
This kite actually has 2 lines:
Here's our first trial run... not too shabby!  A girl actually came running to us and told us that we needed to make our lines longer.  So helpful!
We're attempting a longer line now.  It was funny quite when Graham didn't quite balance out the lines properly - the kite would just spin out of control!
Here's a short video:
Not sure why Charlie didn't want to fly the kite:
Some more photo ops:
I really like this one:
I finally got Charlie off his butt to fly the kite with Graham:
One line for each boy.  Yay!
There were a couple of times when the kite did spiral out of control.  Ha ha! Fun day no less.  Can't complain about spending an hour on the beach.
