We love tide pools

This is probably one of the best things we have discovered since being here in SoCal. We love looking at hermit crabs and sea anemoneas.
We decided to hike a little bit further this time (by what we call "Huff and Puff" hill):
Most of the time Graham is always ahead of everyone else:
Hmm... tempting to get to the other big rock???
Charlie is definitely getting more comfortable walking along the rocks:
It's neat seeing planes buzzing by:
Graham and Charlie finds a little cove:
It's a neat little spot!
Panning out some more to get a better view of where we are.  So pretty out:
Okay, moving on.  Bobby decided to go across to the big rock so now Graham wants to try too??!
Bobby actually spots a starfish on that other side. What a beauty!!! Too bad Charlie and I didn't get over there! It was a bit tricky trying to time the water/tide to get across on the rocks:
Then of course, it was tricky getting back over to the other side! Here is Bobby's angle:
And here is my angle:
Too bad the camera ran out of memory! So I couldn't finish up their "adventure" across the water.  Daddy and Graham did make it back without getting wet :-D

As for the rest of our adventure, Charlie flips over a hermit crab and you can see its pinchers.  So glad he isn't afraid anymore!  I wonder how long before he decides to pull the hermit crabs out of their shells :-0
Alrighty, time to head back.  The boys get ahead of us and Charlie finds a good place to rest.  Too funny!!!
We spot dolphins on the way back up the hill!
This next photo was totally by chance - so excited I caught the dolphin in mid air!!!
And then, we spot a whale too!!!
What a fun-filled day! And this is why love coming by the tide pools.  And the best part is... it's FREE!!! :-D
