No more leased car

Bobby finally turned in his little leased car.  We are going to miss it!  It was such a good little hybrid.  We barely paid much for gas as we would charge it all the time.  And with our solar panels on the house, charging the car was practically free!

Good bye, little car! The boys and I just had our flu shot, which is why they both have a lollipop.

Bobby is probably most sad to see his little Ford go:
For the last 3 years, Bobby's little car averaged 73 miles to a gallon for.  And for the last tank of gas, he was able to cover 1,997 miles and there was still 1/4 tank of gas left!  Incredible!!!

If only our minivan was able to perform at a fourth of that capacity.  I think the van only averages 15 miles to a gallon right now. Sheesh!!!

Well, as it a lollipop was not enough - we're going to get some rolled ice-cream.  YUM!!!
Graham wanted to get closer to the action as he watches the gal "roll" his ice cream:
So far, it's been okay with just one car in the driveway.  Although it's been painful watching that gas needle drop so rapidly every time we are out and about!  Maybe it's time for an upgrade to a hybrid car. It will be tempting especially if there are some good deals out there although I really do love the size of the minivan.  It's really handy for those impromptu large purchases :-P
