One more visit to Shedd Aquarium (June 14)

What happened to June??!  It's July 1 today and there's still so many fun activities that happened in June that I have not posted about yet.

We finally made it back to the Shedd Aquarium.  We were there for the first time July of last year just before Charlie's birthday.  And our membership is going to expire soon, so we figured it was time to get back there again during Member's Jazz Night.  We did arrive earlier so we could wander around.  We decided to drive into the city vs. taking the train.  Thankfully the parking garage wasn't too far from the aquarium:
Interesting water feature in the front of the Shedd:
Charlie's like, "I know this one!  Ah, what is it called??!":
Charlie is trying to be quite the fish expert - learning about all the different types of fish while he's fishing. Too cute!  Who would have thought he would be such a fish enthusiast.

I love the belugas!
And the belugas love feeding time!
We went to watch a 4D show and here we are, in the waiting area.  These boys just can't seem to get away from their phones:
Ok, back to the belugas.  They are so big!
A view of downtown Chicago from one of the windows:
Exploring a new area that we missed last time:
If Charlie were a coral, it would have taken him almost 300 years to be that tall:
Creepy looking sand worms!   I don't remember their scientific names but that's what I'm calling them :-P
Sharks!!!
So far so good!!
We are off to find some food in the city before the aquarium reopens again for Jazz Night:
I love how there's so much pedestrian walkway around here:
And then, an interesting art installation:
This one is called "Agora" and it's a collection of 106 headless cast iron figures, that were casted in Poland.  Interesting....
Burgers for dinner:
Cupcakes for dessert!
Back to the aquarium!  I love these light fixtures/chandeliers:
Hmmm, seems pretty quiet for Jazz Night right now.  The band is just so-so:
Well, time to go wander around a bit more.  Cute puffer fish:
Almost looks like it's smiling :-D
Almost feels like the boys are starting to get old for aquariums now.  Still had a good time though.  We couldn't stay too late for more Jazz as it takes us almost an hour to get home. Just glad traffic wasn't bad on the way home. And parking was totally worth all of $30.  Ha!!!
