Hot week = New attic fans

We finally decided to bite the bullet and get some attic fans installed.  We also installed one in the garage and hopefully, the contents of the 25 boxes or so in the garage are not becoming science experiments!

This is how hot it has been.  It's 102F outside and 86F inside the house.  PHEW!!!
We have multiple fans going in each room and also bought an extra fan that can blow chilled air in Graham's room.  It has a filter that you can freeze and you can also add chilled water in it.  Anything to help the poor little guy cool his warm room!

And in the meantime, Daddy decided to water the plants... except I guess he forgot that cacti really doesn't need too much water.  My poor cacti!!!
I managed to find a stick and put them back up.  Looks like the are almost hugging each other.  Yay!!!
The solar fans kick on automatically when the attic temperature reaches 85F.  And it seems that the temperature of the front living room and especially Graham's room is staying around the low 80s.  The temperature in the garage is definitely cooler too!
Update on the cacti... looks like now it has decided to fall the other way???!
I might have to look for some more sticks to keep them upright!

Bobby thought we were installing the what they call the "Whole House Fan", where you turn on a switch and it forces air out of the house.  Well, not this time!  Good news is, we do get a 30% tax credit from the government.  Nice!
