Visiting Daddy in his office (Aug 18)

Before school started, we decided to visit Daddy in his new office.  It's not quite in downtown Chicago but pretty close - just Northwest of it.  We probably should have taken the train but decided to drive instead.  FYI - that was actually a mistake because as per usual, traffic was really bad on the way home!

These "L" lines or "Elevated" train lines are so cool from underneath.  Of course I had to make the boys take a photo near it.  Charlie is so cheeky here:
So technically, Bobby could take the train all the way to the last stop and then change lines and hop on one of these "L" trains. But then, he would still have to backtrack and walk about 10-15 minutes to get to his office.  There are at least some pretty murals though along the way:
And also lots of stores and mostly very well maintained apartments and homes:
More cool artwork to take photos of!
The boys are playing on the random swing in front of someone's yard:
We actually got a bit lost walking back to Bobby's office after lunch.  And that's even with using the maps App on our phones. Ha ha!

By the way, the boys have their own computers set up at Bobby's office.  This is what happens when Bobby's team is not all hired on yet. Too funny!
This photo was actually taken when Bobby took Charlie to his office a few days before his official start/work date (Graham and I were traveling in LA at that time).  Again, another cheeky smile on Charlie's face. What a ham!

Ah yes.... the traffic going home.  Took us about 1.5hrs to get home. Sheesh!
I'm so glad Bobby is now getting it into his routine to take the train and then the bus.  Yes, Bobby takes the bus now too (vs. the "L").  Plus, if he uses public transport, he doesn't have the tendency to stop in places like say... the nursery? Look at that pile of firewood!!  It's the largest pile I've ever seen!!!
This nursery is massive!
Yup, we just had to buy something:
Boys had a chance to feed some fish too:
So Charlie wanted this hibiscus.  How could I say no when it's the national flower of Malaysia!
These blooms are really pretty. I hope this plant survives the winter outside:
I also bought some random succulents for my new planters.  Aren't these so cute?!  The boys think it's kind of scary though:
This one is cute too :-D
I actually moved that from my kitchen window sill to a shelf above the coffee maker.  Graham started using this other coffee maker to make his single servings of hot chocolate with those pods.  For the love of this boys, he gets a brand new shelf with metal mesh bins and cup holders.  Ha ha!
And today, Bobby brought home a couple of t-shirts for the boys - courtesy of his boss.  Sweet!  And oh, there might be a strike on Friday so the trains might not be running.  It would be an excuse for Bobby to work from home.  How about that!
