Surf lessons - Attempt #2 (July 30)

A few days later, we attempt again to get our group surf lesson organized.  But after chatting with the instructor for a little bit in the parking lot, looks like we will have to reschedule again.  The waves are just not so good, or more so - the lack of waves.  So, as of today, we have yet to re-schedule.  Hopefully it will be later this week!

But in the meantime, since we are already parked and ready to go... why not just spend the entire morning at the beach.  Didn't take Graham and Charlie long to get into the water:

I'm just going to sit by the tent and enjoy my coffee:
The birds do fly in a "V"!
And no, it is not a sunny day.  The fog is actually rolling in!
Time for break!  Daddy has come by and brought the new foldable chair and the boys' bodyboards.  And while Daddy goes out to get some lunch, Graham is going to sit and relax.  This kid, I tell you!
And while we wait for our lunch, we are going to snack on some of the food we brought along. Ha ha!
Time for a little break for Charlie too.  I couldn't help notice Charlie's tan line.  Oh my gosh... LOL!!!
Now that Daddy is back, I'm glad Graham doesn't mind sitting on the bodyboard.  Anything to keep these kids semi-clean:
And, back into the water!
Yup, I'm still happy just staying on the shore.  Thank goodness for the internet and our phones these days to keep us occupied.  Although, yes yes... I'm still keeping an eye out on the kids in the water:
Glad Bobby was able to join us for the later part of the day:
Definitely a morning and part of the early afternoon well spent.  Graham and Charlie have been busy collecting shells too:
Not exactly sure what we're going to do with them yet.  Maybe make some sort of wind chime? It would have to be something that doesn't "chime" too much as those are not Bobby's favorites.  Ha! But check out this big shell that Charlie found.  So cool!
I think this one is called a "turban" shell.  It should look something like this minus all the natural growth that's on it.  Perhaps?!
I wonder how you would even begin to clean one of these outer shells.  Hmm... sounds like another project.  Ha ha!
