More archery update

So another round at the El Dorado Park yesterday.  Charlie missed his 180 points by 5!  He did use their new personal bow and did improve on his score from the last time (of 131 points).  He's so close!!!

They did give everyone an extra "end" or turn so that's why Charlie has an extra line of numbers at the very bottom.  He had an arrow where he "shanked" a little bit.  That could have been the one to get him to 180 points.  So it was a lesson that "every arrow counts", sort of like in golf.

I managed to get my 2nd scorecard of more than 180 points so I earned my "Advanced" stamp on my card.  Yay!

Being in the "Advanced" level just means you are able to now shoot from 18 meters instead of 9 meters.   Graham had already reached his Advanced level last week but we had him shoot with us this week anyhow.  There was a tournament going on and we figured the later time would be better for the sake of parking.  Graham had another good day of shooting with a score of 234:

Looks like Graham just needs to work on his math a little bit.  Ha ha!

After the Beginner class and into the Youth class, the boys installed their new sight on the bow with the help of one of the coaches:

After a few more ends, it's time to eat!  We can always count on Daddy to bring the food :-)

Looking forward to getting the sight squared away during the boys' next lesson and also new techniques of hanging onto the bow after the release.  Hope their arms and shoulders are up for holding the extra weight of the stabilizers!
