Here are some of the selection of cookies from a new cookie place not far from the house. These are quite yummy but so huge! And don't even get me started on the price. Ha!Charlie came home one day and told us that the toilet is smoking. He definitely got this idea from the internet!
Charlie has still been busy fishing!
Love the color splash along the walkway although it's starting to look a bit overcrowded:
Hopefully the Pridgen "team" will water the garden a bit more frequently so the plants will actually survive the rest of this summer. I did managed to get some tomatoes out of the garden too. Yay!

And clearly, these bass are getting bigger and fatter as the summer progresses:
I can't believe how huge these hydrangea blooms are in the garden. Woah!
The garden is looking pretty good, although my peonies on the very right corner here is really struggling. Maybe it will survive the rest of this summer and come back next year??Love the color splash along the walkway although it's starting to look a bit overcrowded:
Ended up bringing some of these black-eyed Susan into the house because it was top heavy and was all over the walkway in the front yard. Nice little "color-splash" in the living room :-)
Not too many but just enough to make some stuffed peppers for dinner tonight. The slightly reddish one had a little kick to it. Yuummm!!Hopefully the Pridgen "team" will water the garden a bit more frequently so the plants will actually survive the rest of this summer. I did managed to get some tomatoes out of the garden too. A few of my houseplants are not doing as well - especially after the month-long neglect while we were on vacation in Malaysia, as well as being stuck in the basement for 12 days because of Covid. Booo!!
C'mon Pridgen team - we can do this!!I trimmed the leaves. Maybe this will help the plant recover faster??
A couple of the bamboo stalks also decided to die on us :-(
I saved the green tips and hopefully will try to grow roots out of them. We'll see how that goes!
This cousin is my uncle's daughter (my dad's younger brother). How about that!

At least the hummingbird came back, despite not having any sugar water in its container for a bit. And actually, we noticed a new hummingbird coming around to feed as well. So exciting!
Perhaps we need to move the hummingbird birdhouse to a new location. It has been vacant ever since we put it up in the front yard. Might just need a better spot for it.
Last but not least, I found an old passport photo of Charlie recently while clearing up some stuff in the basement. Totally made me think of my cousin in Malaysia:
And sure enough, the similarities are uncanny! This cousin is my uncle's daughter (my dad's younger brother). How about that!
