We seem to have a low spot in the driveway. Looks like another project to build some sort of drain for Mommy and Daddy!
Looks like it might be time to update the clothes in the bag. This one is looking a bit snug on Charlie!
And this crazy weather also gave me a chance to finally test out my antique oil lamp. Yes, it works!! :-)
Seriously... look at this map!! Too much of that orange and red in it:
There's been so much rain lately:
But the colder weather has given us more time to have more fires inside and of course, more excuses for the boys to make indoor s'mores :-)
We had a good stretch of really nice and warm weather - just in time to repaint this airplane book shelf. I had purchased it back in CA and never did hang it anywhere in the house before we moved. So it's going to be perfect for the guest room :-D
Using the same blue and black colors that's from the front door. I think it looks pretty good!
And it was so warm that we decided to kayak over to our neighbor's home for a playdate:
I managed to put Charlie's fishing gear in my kayak:
It was almost surreal to see all the kids kayaking and hanging out on the lake. Makes us love our neighborhood (and lovely neighbor) even more!!
And then, the following week - the weather turns and it's cold again. Back into the winter gear!! WHAT??!
And wait, snow??! It's the middle of April!
I think the flowers are going to be rather confused!
Yup, that white stuff!
Thankfully it didn't stick for very long:
Makes for some pretty photos, at least:
The snow was last week and now this week, for the last 2 days - it's been sleeting!! It's almost like someone is dumping chunky salt grains on us. Ha ha!
Can you believe this?! It's one more week before May!
Somehow I have a feeling we are going to have a really warm summer and with all this moisture, it's going to be a haven for mosquitoes. Gulp!! I hope I'm wrong. We were fairly prepared for mosquitos late last summer so, Bring It!! :-P
Here's that warning from the county. Yikes!
It definitely made us think about where we would take shelter in this new house. And it also gave us a chance to go through and update each of our emergency bags:Looks like it might be time to update the clothes in the bag. This one is looking a bit snug on Charlie!
