The weather has been so weird/crazy recently. It seemed so cold for so long in January and once everything thawed out in February, we have had a few random warm days - warm for this time of the year for sure. It was 75F when we were out today and last week, we had a day that was close to 70F as well. And then, the day after that, the temperature dropped to only 25F and next thing you know, we are getting tornado warnings!
Looks like we are hanging out in the basement for a bit tonight:
Thankfully we had just finished dinner before the sirens went off. And looks like at least Graham is not too concerned. He's too busy being in the virtual reality world. Ha ha!
By the way, did you see that map on the table in the previous photo? Yikes! But we are ready with our emergency bags, which we have placed in the bathroom. It's the only room in the basement without any windows:
I'll need to figure out to just have these bags placed in the bathroom somewhere at all times. Looks like more brainstorming and more organizing to come!
The next day, Charlie received a photo from one of his friends. Yikes!!
After reading the news, there were several spots near us that were damaged. We were definitely lucky! Hopefully there won't be too many of these sirens going off, but if anything - I'm glad the boys were responsible in getting our gear (and themselves) storm-ready!
