Fun surf day

We are finally heading out to test-drive Graham's new surfboard!  We had bought it for him, I mean Santa had hidden it in the garage for him this past Christmas.  Unfortunately, he did break his collarbone at the end of November and it has taken a lot longer to heal.  So here goes... Graham is so excited!

But first, Charlie and I have to go for another Covid test.  He has another "job" - this time at the Disney Production Studio in Burbank.  Sounds exciting!

We are back at the same testing site in Culver City.  Charlie is making his eyes funny like the one piggy.  Ha!

It's another 45 min before we are finally reunited at the beach with Daddy and Graham.  Bobby was suppose to go into the water with Graham - to assist him with getting onto the surfboard.  But he said that it was waaaaay to cold.  Ha ha!

Well, it's lunch time anyway.  Found a neat little cafe right next to the testing site. An everything bagel with a homemade cream cheese spread and cucumbers.  Who would have thought how yummy that would be!
While Graham's waiting for us, he is busy flying his kite. He LOVES flying his kite!  We'll have to buy him a larger one.  For his birthday in May, perhaps:
Such a quiet day at the beach today.  Do you see Graham and Charlie in that vast ocean??!

Boys are sticking to the bodyboard for now:

Looks like Daddy has been relieved of his guard-watching duties:
I'm probably going to hear about this from Bobby as he doesn't know that I had taken this photo :-P

In the meantime, here is my view.  Yup, we are pretty spoiled here:
Okay, Graham and Charlie are going to tackle this surfboard!
Not so successful... but I love how they are working together:
There were a couple other videos to capture during this day as well.  Check out this guy on his unicycle.  He's a brave one! Especially when Bobby had already seen him flop on his face just a few minutes ago!
And check out this other guy - talk about being fast while kite-surfing!!! I'm still trying to figure out how he changed directions when the wind was blowing in the same direction.  Hmmm...??!
Looks like the boys are done surfing for now.  I guess I'll have to go in the water eventually to help them out. Or... Bobby could buy a wetsuit??!

Snack time!
I love this next photo of Bobby looking out:
More kite-flying before we head out.  These boys have so much energy!!
I'm glad we brought Bobby along.  Who else is going to carry the surfboard back up the hill??!
Supposedly Graham did get up on the board a few times before Charlie and I got there.  Hopefully we'll get some of that on video next time.  Nevertheless, always a fun day at the beach!! :-)
