Junior Golf Camp

It's that time of the year again - for the LA-sponsored (free) Junior Golf Camp!  The boys love participating in these camps.  The driving range at this location was vast, which worked well for the camp.  Too bad the golf balls were not in very good shape!  Not like the kids cared so much.  Their golf shots are really improving!
The Goodyear blimp station is just next door.  Pretty neat watching it take off and land every now and then:
I think that's more exciting than getting a bee on my golf bag recently. Ha!  Funny but the pattern on the bag is almost like the hives and perhaps the color of my new bag confused the bee!
Graham sometimes spends more time amusing himself than practicing :-\
Graham also noticed the computer screen/camera that one PGA Instructor was using by the corner of the driving range (not affiliated to the junior golf camp).  Funny enough this teaching pro taught some of the gal pros that were playing in the same "Futures Tour" that I was in years ago/pre-kids.  Graham is so keen on seeing his swing on the computer so maybe one day, we will get him an actual lesson.

The boys are growing up so fast!
Did I mention Graham now also has his own junior golf bag?  Here are the boys a couple of weeks ago heading for practice after school one day:
Back to camp... On the last day (Day 4/Thursday), Charlie ended up in a playoff for 2nd and 3rd place.  I love how Graham was right there supporting his younger brother:
Graham didn't putt too well but a bronze medal for Charlie!  He sort of rushed through a putt and 3-putted to lose to 2nd place.  He had teary eyes but hopefully he learned from his mistake:
Both Graham and Charlie will be starting a tournament prep class very soon.  I can't imagine being that mom on the golf course watching her boys play in a golf tournament. Hopefully my nerves will hold up.  Ha ha! So far no tournaments planned as of yet.  Will keep you all posted!
