Kite flying (June 11)

The boys love to fly their kites - especially Graham!  So when we saw some bigger kites for sale recently, Graham was all over it.

We opted to fly the kites by Founders Park.  It is almost always windy up here.  Although it did take a while to get the kite up in the air:
Graham's kite was a bit easier to fly since his kite only has 1 line:
Here's a video of Charlie flying the dual-line kite, once we finally got it up in the air:
Quite something to make to kite fly in all sorts of directions!

Needless to say, kite flying is pretty relaxing once the kite is in the air:
I think Charlie agrees, as he has now switched kites with Graham:
See what I mean?! You can even fly a kite while laying down. LOL!!
Beautiful scenery around here:
Fun times!
We will most likely miss these cliff and ocean views once we get to IL.  I think it's rather flat there!  And hopefully the winter will be gentle on us as well. It will be interesting to see how the boys do with their bus rides to school!
