New light fixture (Dec 9)

Been wanting to change this light fixture out for quite a while now. It's the one on our front porch.  For some reason, I just didn't like the one we had - and yeah, that happens quite a bit with a lot of light fixtures in every house that we have lived in. LOL!!

Here's the new one - a bit more modern look to it:

I totally forgot to take a photo of the old one!  And these little nubbies were so difficult to take off!

Okay, remember which colored wire goes where!!  This is why I always take a photo :-)

Actually, here's what the old one looked like:

It really doesn't look so bad, but maybe it's because of all the insects that always accumulate in it.  I haven't actually looked recently in the new fixture.  Hopefully the bugs don't swarm around the inside of it as much.  We did also get a "smart" light bulb that's programmed to dim and turn on and off at certain times. Technology, I tell you.  Pretty crazy stuff - and it's amazing how much you have to pay for a light bulb these days. Ha!
