Okay, so it was my idea to check out the Night of 1,000 Jack-o-lanterns at the Chicago Botanic Garden. It was a pretty late night to begin with as we had to select a time slot to enter the garden. And there was so much traffic going in!
Finally in the garden. Phew!
Pretty classic jack-o-lantern here! And wow, these are some amazing carvings!
Wow, I wonder how many hours it took. These are being lit from the back so you can clearly see what's been carved and painted:
Our 2 monkeys!
This Angler Fish carving was amazing!
The string of lights in this area was actually out and weirdly enough, Graham decided to bring a torch light, or I guess I should say flash light. And he managed to stand behind and light the pumpkin.
There was a section of carved faces of athletes. Pretty impressive!
These ones below were actually pretty freaky!
This one is the cutest! I never thought about making round eyes like these:
Pretty bright moon but obviously, my phone camera is not doing a very good job capturing the moment!
It was such a late night by the time we got home. I'm 50/50 on this one. It was definitely not what I was expecting! If anything, I guess we can check this one of our list! :-)
