School beautification

I'm still volunteering at Charlie's middle school as part of the Ecology and Beautification team.  That basically just means taking care of the planters at the front of the school.  This year, we did have a new project with getting a scarecrow up.  I had to go pick up the supplies from the city. I was not expecting to pick up these corn stalks!  Thankfully they fit in the truck:
That hay bale made quite the mess in the truck!  And of course, I had to bring my clubs because I was heading to work after!
Ta da!! Not too shabby.  Just glad I was able to keep the cornstalks upright:
And then, my other mom-partner put together the scarecrow.  Too cute!
I'm glad we had an old-school broom for her to use.  Those eyes on the upside-down broom are just too funny. LOL!!

For the Fall project, unfortunately my mom-partner was a bit busy so I dragged Charlie to help me out with the planting - since it's for his school anyway:
There was a lot of moaning and groaning involved, but we got it done!  I think they all turned out quite nicely:
Those upside down witches legs are almost always my favorites. Ha ha!
The boys said, my "F" looks like a "b" and so instead of Fall, they are saying it says "ball"???
I did have some fun painting the pumpkins :-)
Okay, until December... when we change out to the Christmas decor!
