And yeah... as you can see, first photo is already about food. My brother picked me up and we had big glasses of fresh juice and also squid with a sweet sauce and peanuts. Welcome back to Malaysia!
And OMG, my hair... I can't believe it was so short then. And obviously, it has a mind of its own. LOL!
And then, my brother conveniently has a flat tire. Actually, I had been borrowing his car, so this situation was NOT helpful!
Had to call the Boss to get it repaired:
Selfie moment! ;-P
I don't remember who bought the durian, but never pass the opportunity to eat it. Well, for me - that is. The boys still can't get through the smell and taste of it!
I remembered eating alone at a mall - no idea what or why I was going there for. But it's lunch time! Noodles with pork and grass jelly milk tea. Yum!
I love this chicken bowl! It's so old-school:
I think the ceramic spoon came in this mug that was filled with hot water. That's how some of the utensils are cleaned around here, in the restaurants :-)
Beautiful sunset from the hospital window:
I think Bobby would enjoy this one. Although, I can't believe how expensive these bowl of noodles are now!! They used to just be around RM5 and now this one is like RM25!
In comparison to the exchange rate, I mean we are still talking about USD5, so still decent. But even so, I guess times have changed. Thankfully food is still good! Yes, I love my noodles:
All gone!
Malaysian version of plantains. These are so good deep fried:
While over at my dad's wife's apartment - I tried to fix a leaky faucet. Just have to say I'm glad I didn't make it worse, LOL!
Something that you never see in the US - this is when the TV goes off-air. I mean, back in the days - and it really wasn't that long ago, when TV channels were never on for 24 hours! Unlike the streaming now:
More meals with my brother:
This one just felt like home-cooked food - rice with tofu and minced pork:
Again, looking for a meal on my own after a visit at the hospital. There's an Indian spot not far away:
Love some of that spicy food, and of course just waiting for the rain to stop:
What's good about the teh tarik? Having 2 of them, of course! :-D
I was trying to figure out why I took a photo of this chair, and then I remembered this big rip that was in the seat. Dad had to do dialysis for 3 hours at a time sometimes, and this was the best chair that was available by his bed:
Aahhh, parking is always such a nightmare by the hospital!
I'm literally parked right in front of the hospital signage. And by the side of the road!
And if you notice the white little car to the right, it's park right within the roundabout. Ha!

Okay, I swear I'm not going crazy - but I see an elephant in the clouds!!
These long days at the hospital is probably not helping, but seriously - you see it too, right??!
Home-cooked meal prepared by my brother's housemaid. She's really part of the family - been with us for as long as I've been born. And that's almost 50 years!
In the meantime, the boys are having a snowy Halloween! Looks like Bobby set up the candy under the umbrella by the front driveway. Ha!
Ohhh, another yummy noodle dish. This one is called Prawn Mee noodles. A bit spicy but you can actually add a bit more spice with their specialty chili. So good!
OMG, this gecko on my windshield of my car scared the crap out of me! Who knows where it came from. Sheesh!
So, there's definitely no texting and walking at the same time by the hospital parking lots. There are holes everywhere in the pavement:
Seriously, watch your step!
Open drain!
Almost seems like it's safer to park along the side of the road rather than within the garage area of the hospital. Ha!

Claypot chicken rice - need I say more?
Another rainy afternoon! Thankfully just hanging out at my brother's place:
Here's the video. Quite the storm!

Just stopping to admire this nice big tree, which also provides some good shade in the parking lot. Still always looking for shady spots when I park the car:Mid-day snack in the car. These egg tarts are sooooo good!
Looks like rain coming again this afternoon. View while on the bridge between parking lot and hospital building.
In the meantime, looks like more snow is coming for the boys back in the US!
Another 2-3 weeks before heading back to the US. More photos to come!
