Mural - The Birdie Project Studio

I recently met another Teaching Pro recently when I played in the IL Women's Open this past summer.  She just opened up her own studio! So happy for her:
Although, it is very green and she was hoping to get something on the walls:
Well, I figured some silhouettes would be fun!  And I've seen artist using projectors, so I figured it's time to invest in one.  And of course, Graham had to try it out first.  Can you see him laying on the floor and projecting onto the ceiling? He couldn't find any wall without a picture/photograph on it. LOL!
Here's the saying that I planned on putting on the wall.  It's actually one that I have in our bedroom. It says, "Life is a game, Golf is serious".  Ha!
So far, the projector is working really well!  It comes with all these different drawing modes - like sketches:
And so, instead of doing silhouettes on both walls, I figured why not do some sketches??
After doing it with a pencil, I wasn't sure how it would come out with a paint brush.  But not too shabby!
It probably took me about 1.5 hours to sketch and paint.  It probably would have taken me a whole lot longer without the projector:
Wall #1 is done!  This one did take a lot longer as the words did need to be filled in more with extra coats of paint. And we also decided to fill in on the white color to make the other words pop a bit more:
And now to the silhouettes on Wall #2.  Time for the silhouettes - couldn't decide to just do the kid or kid + adult:
I think it looks good, if I say so myself :-)
And here's the other one - recognize who this LPGA player might be??
I actually had to free-hand her right leg because I could not get the projector to display the image at the proper angle due to the narrow hallway.  But thankfully, everything worked out:
My friend Grace actually wanted 4 "progression" silhouettes but due to budgeting, we are sticking with just 2 images for now.  Hopefully I can go back one day and finish it up.  But in the meantime, she is already loving what I've done.  Happy client = Happy me! :-)
