It's that time of the year again for Family Campout in our neighborhood! Hopefully the weather will cooperate this year. Last year, when I popped my head into the boys' tent, it was SOOOO HOT! Well, this year, Graham is determined to sleep overnight at the park :-)
Peek-a-boo!It's such a tiny tent! Maybe next year we'll have to invest in a bigger one:
We are busy munching away on our burritos. The food truck this year wasn't too shabby!
I went to visit a friend in Wilmette. Her house is over 100 years old. Looks how cool this window is!
We took a walk to the lake, which wasn't far from her house:
Ahhh, cool water. Makes me miss the ocean in Rancho Palos Verdes (CA):
Feeling like a tourist around here. Ha!
It's been pretty rainy lately. And there's an entire rainbow overhead if you look closely!
And unfortunately, we did have a leak from the ceiling, in the kitchen. The only consolation was that it dripped directly into the kitchen sink! Well, looks like some DIY is required. Probably could have bought a smaller can, but I sent Bobby to the store with this photo. Need I say more??

And yup, that's me on the roof. Thankfully it was on the lower side of the house, by the back deck.
I was literally brushing up some shingles with a toothbrush when I found one little sliver that had completely fallen off. And so I used a mesh tape (which Bobby also bought based on the recommendation of the store employee) and scooped up some of that tar. And thankfully by the next big rain storm, the leak had stopped. Phew!!
In the meantime, trying to work on a few more home projects - like fixing up some cracks in the garage:
Hopefully this will help from further damage. Always something when it comes to home ownership!
