US Senior Women's Open - Day 1 & Day 2

Ready for Day 1! 

It's been fun watching all the other well-known pros warming up at the same time too!

First tee - to be honest, there's always the first tee jitters.  

But I did end up pulling this first tee shot and put myself in an awkward position. Oops!  And then, from there I proceeded to put my ball into the bunker and it was just a few too many shots from there. In any case, starting with an 8 (triple bogey) on a Par 5 was not ideal!

I started on #10:

I could have played just a bit better on the front 9.  By the way, the official photo looks so much better than the Hello Kitty shirt. Ha ha!

Time to practice a little after the round:

Despite the tough day, Charlie & I still had a great day :-)

And after it was all said and done, I have to carry my bag to the car??!

Looks like my caddy had a tough day. LOL!!

Thankfully he was able to wake up for dinner. And of course, no dinner is complete without dessert:

Boys are missing first week of school.  Hopefully, there won't be too much catching up to do when they get back!

Day 2: Looks like I have Charlie trained well - he's working on his folds for today's pin sheet:

We have some special people watching me play today - my housing from Ohio and my sister! 💗

Day 2 was better but just left a few out there on the course to make the cut.  I even had an eagle on Hole #6!!  The expression on Charlie's face was priceless :-D

I was hoping for a stronger finish but those last few holes really got to me. Oh well, next time! Really was great to be back in a competitive mode again.

Before leaving town, we had to get to the Milk Shake Factory.  I was gifted some yummy chocolate treats in my locker, so we had to visit the source to get some more :-)

Nothing like milkshakes right before bedtime.  Ha ha!

Some stats from the tournament - I'm surprised the driving distance average isn't longer for Day 1.  And I don't think my average is 249.5 yards.  I must have gotten lucky with that drive! 

And looks like I need to hit more greens and fairways, even though I was right about average for Day 2.

I suppose, overall, it wasn't all that bad - considering I really didn't practice very much.  Definitely still working on getting my yardages and wedges dialed in.  Ready for qualifying again next year! And most definitely going to get to the site a few days earlier for some extra practice rounds. My course management was awful this week! But lots of good memories of some great shots, meeting new players, and getting re-acquainted with other LPGA players :-)
