Gone! I actually gave it away for free. I didn't even think it would survive the drive to the charity store. Hopefully the 2 gals that picked it up were able to still salvage it, although the one girl said that she is going to use it for clothes instead of books:
I'm a glutton for punishment. Yes, another light fixture! And every one of those beaded poles needed to be unscrewed and screwed into its base - top AND bottom!
Ta da!!! I like this one much better:
There's also staging for the outside too:
Slowly but surely, things are coming along:
But there's still soooooooooo much to do!
In the meantime, poor Graham is unwell. He had missed 4 out of the 5 days of school last week. Poor fella! He had a fever and then right before the fever ended, he started coughing:
Thankfully, tested negative for Covid. He started swimming for PE the week before and that was the only time he was without his mask. Urgh.
By the way, our tether pole of almost 4 years finally called it quits:
The bottom part of the pole was totally clogged up with dirt so water could not drain into the ground. It totally rusted out!
Sorting some more stuff and found this! It's one of Charlie's drawings that I decided to laminate and make into a bookmark. Almost looks like a happy Covid virus. LOL!!!
This was some of the pens, pencils, and other stationary from our dining table plus the other 2 desks combined:
Wow... how many pens and pencils does one household actually need??!
I suppose that same question could be asked for the number of mugs per household. Ha ha!
It's crazy how much packing and sorting and organizing is required:
The first load of boxes are finally heading out to storage!
Boys were happily in Charlie's room playing computer games - staying out of the way. I suppose that's good in one way:
Post-movers and still such a mess! But we are seeing more floor and that's $$$!
It's like playing the game "Tetris" in this storage unit. These guys are good!
I told the movers that we still have a big dresser to put into the storage unit and also some more boxes. So hopefully it will all fit and we don't have to pay for another storage unit. It is not cheap!

Bobby bought like the most expensive dollie ever, but looks like every bit of it was totally worth it!
The movers did show up this past Friday to take a whole bunch of furniture and boxes into the storage unit as well:
I'm not sure if this front living room looks any better. We did remove a huge table to the left of the TV:Boys were happily in Charlie's room playing computer games - staying out of the way. I suppose that's good in one way:

We have also since spent some money to fix up the cracks in this back wall:
We told them to not patch over the etchings in the concrete - the heart shape to the left was already there when we moved in. And I made the butterfly one with all of our 4 initials :-)
I was hoping they would fix the other cracks though! The contractor will be coming back to demo another wall by the "she-shed" so maybe he can touch up then.
Hopefully the new concrete will blend in a little bit more after it dries. Hmmm....:
There were 4 guys and it took them the entire day to finish patching up the 2 side of this wall plus another smaller one towards the back end of the yardWe told them to not patch over the etchings in the concrete - the heart shape to the left was already there when we moved in. I even bought a 2-tier Lazy Susan to organize the oil and spices. It took me this long to finally do it!
Well, that's it for now. Bob is taking the boys to Production tomorrow so looks like I'll have some more time to sort out more things tomorrow. I was out all day at Dana Point today playing golf, so no packing/organizing was completed today, And the clock definitely ticking down to Open House day! Actually, it's ticking down to the day when the photographer shows up so that's even closer. Ahhhhh...!!!
