There was a Franchising Convention this past weekend in Pasadena. We figured since we're sort of looking for something new - business-wise, that perhaps this might be a good opportunity to see what's out there. Well, unfortunately, the convention was a lot smaller and less impressive than we had all hoped. They did have some classes but we had obviously missed those. We did pick up some flyers and the boys picked up some free pens. Ha ha!
If anything, we made an afternoon out of it. Pasadena has lots of pretty buildings! Such as this auditorium:
The detailing around the windows are amazing:Maybe some day we will get up here for the Rose Bowl parade. But I can't imagine camping out the night before just to get a good seat for the parade. Perhaps this family we-fie is enough for now :-)
We found an advertisement by a store front with a model that looked so much like Bobby's good friend. It's obviously not Ben but the resemblance is uncanny!
Another pretty building - a Methodist church. This building is massive!
And has amazing stained glass!
Mommy insisted on the boys to pose for a photo. Ha ha!
Thankfully these boys are still willing to play along. When will that day come when they start to say "No, Mommy". Hope that day never comes!!!
After this whole trip to Pasadena, this franchising thing had got me thinking about starting our own business. Obviously something that is still in the planning stages (and may be for a very long time - Ha ha!) but at least it's a thought for now. We'll see what happens. Bobby is still looking for a new job so who knows where we might end up. Keeping our fingers crossed though for a steady income soon! Go Daddy, go!
