We didn't do anything too crazy for July 4th. Fireworks are not allowed in our area and we weren't invited to go anywhere for it, so we just did a quick BBQ at home. So glad I bought some frozen hamburgers the other day! It's so nice to be able to just put something together quickly without much planning.
It definitely got noisier once darkness settled in:
This was very similar to last year, where the noise kept going on until past midnight. Yikes! I'm just glad the boys were able to still fall asleep easily and not woken up by those really loud booms. And I'm also glad that there were no fire reports! It's so scary seeing/hearing all the huge fires that are going on in and around California now. Fingers crossed this year will be better, if that's even a thing for fire season.
