Picnic

A couple of weekends ago, we decided to get take-out from our favorite restaurant in Costa Mesa.  It's quite the hike out there - about 40+ minutes so we decided to make an afternoon out of it.  The boys packed their scooters, Daddy packed his scooter, and Mommy packed her skateboard (ya, no laughing - Ha ha!).

Once we arrived at the park, I tried to get the kite up into the air.  Not too much luck today - there just wasn't quite enough wind.  Charlie wanted to give it a try anyway while Graham tried out his boomerang:

We discovered this park the last time we did take-out at Season's 52.  It was just a few blocks away from it and the park has a nice paved path throughout - perfect for biking and scootering.  Charlie's using Daddy's bigger scooter:

Graham is still loving his new (used) gear bike that we bought maybe a year and a half ago now, perhaps.  I'm not exactly sure.  Hmmm...:

Daddy is looking too relaxed here.  That's fine... we'll cut him some slack this time since he has to go get our food later :-P

Graham is going to get on Mommy's skateboard but on his bum instead :-)

My favorite dish so far is the grilled shrimp with grits.  MMmmmm.... Mmmmmm.... Good!!!

And of course, how can we forget dessert.  Only 4 of us but 6 little cups of dessert.  I wonder who gets 2 extra each??!

We still have a gift card that needs to be used before the end of this month.  Can't wait for another trip to Costa Mesa again to feed my belly.  No wonder if is getting more round and happy. LOL!!!
