We are ready! Graham and Charlie got free head gear - which I loved. I wish I got one!
I thought the rinse station was quite cute. I'm sure we will be utilizing this later at the end of the day:
We are here pretty early so the boys warm up:
Time to show muscles!!! Although Charlie is holding up his "passport". Once they get all their stamps at each station, the kids can to do a free re-run!
We are obviously still trying to kill time :-D
And as we were quite early, we also got a good parking spot. So, we were able to head back to the car and have an extra snack before the race. There were some avid bird watchers by our car, which was near a lake. A couple of them were still there even after the race. Must be retirees! :-)
Okay, one last warm up before the race. I love this photo :-)
Oh wait, have to use the loo first. These portable sinks were handy, except it ran out of water at the end of our race. Thankfully the rinse area still had plenty of water:
One "dab" before the start!
I had to laugh a bit when I saw this photo. Technically the kids should be in front of these big men??! We had the boys run ahead of us after the horn was blown but that was bad mistake. I had to run past about 4 obstacles before I finally caught up to Graham!
Hmmm.... is Graham cheating???! Or perhaps actually being quite smart:
Charlie definitely needed some help though. Although he could have just opted for the easier side, which was the wall behind him:
Action Cam! This was Graham's favorite obstacle:
Graham had no issues going up this rope obstacle, but Charlie got stuck once he got up to the top! He couldn't get over the top so he came down and went to shorter rope climb. He struggled still getting over the top but on the re-run, he did it all by himself! See,... there was a reason why we signed up for this!
Easy-peasy!
Graham and Charlie were cheating with this obstacle, by rolling under it. Ha ha!
Car wash!
How do these boys have SOOOOO much energy??!!?
Graham is really good with monkey-bars but these were tricky!
Okay, here is the line for our first mud obstacle!
Here we go...!!!
Ok, so we have videos but I haven't downloaded them to my computer yet. Will have to do that soon.
Here is the following mud (last) obstacle:
The only thing that Charlie kept saying was "This is disgusting!!!". LOL!!!
What a fun race! The boys got some really cool medals too:
A few minutes for snack and catching up on the map:
Time for the re-run! Here are some other obstacles on the course. I wonder what Graham is trying to tell Charlie:
The boys are a bit distracted on this re-run. Time for some rock-throwing:
Here's the "Mission Impossible" obstacle - as the boys put it. The professional photographer snapped this photo. I thought Charlie's facial expression was priceless!Alrighty, I figured... why not. Here goes!!!
Graham and Charlie obviously had loads of fun on the re-run too:
Shower time! He he, I was obviously having too much fun with this one :-D
And Charlie didn't mind it one bit!
We are all rewarded with some frozen yogurt and churros. YUM!!!
Looks like it's naptime for Daddy!
It is so pretty out here in Chino. It took us about 45 minutes to get out here but almost 1.5 hours to get home:
Not like it mattered how long it took to get home, Charlie was out most of the way! And almost at the end of it, Graham was watching the new Spiderman movie/cartoon DVD in French. These kids!
Another fun adventure to add into our books :-D
