When we got in, there was a talk about the beavers. I didn't think you could actually train beavers!
This is a Basket Star. I have never seen one before. So pretty!
And how cool are these Rock Fish. See it?? Actually, there are 2 of them!
The boys love the tree-frog section in the Aquarium. It's always tricky trying to spot the really small ones. This one is fairly large:
There are some divers in the big tank today. The boys got to "high-5" them :-)
Graham wanders back to the Frog section and somehow is chatting with an Aquarium Volunteer. He is so beyond his years sometimes:
Photo op with the shark today!
Graham was more interested in the coin souvenir machine:Next we see the seals... or is it a sea lion???
And then, as usual - the boys love the touch tank:
Actually, Charlie was a bit timid so it took him about 5-10 minutes to warm up to the sting rays:
Graham and Charlie probably spent a good 15 minutes at this touch tank! We finally move on back to the sea lion and seals again:This penguin almost looks real!
Fun day at the Aquarium! And then, Daddy joins us and takes us out for dinner. We decide to cross the bridge over to the Outlet Mall. We have been in SoCal for 10 months now and have never walked over to this other side!
As we are walking towards the bridge, there is a lot of police presence on the one side of the road. And we spot a black vehicle with a big camera rigged to its top and then, a red vehicle zooming by. A car commercial possibly?
Other happenings are a choo-choo train on the sidewalk. The boys used to ride those in the malls in Abu Dhabi!
Fancy building - this place is called The Pike. I am just finding out that this is actually a parking garage. It's a nice fancy building! Here's the bridge from the other side. Charlie has decided to follow Daddy since Daddy always lets him play on the phone in the car. Pha!
There is also a ferris wheel here. Next time!
A fun-filled day for sure!
