Happy New Year!

It's the New Year!!  2026... can you believe it?!  We didn't do too much as we were driving home from NJ. Car is packed up as per usual :-)
One last meal before the new year. Somehow we ended up at another All-you-can-eat buffet! This one in Columbus, OH.
Cute little delivery "train"!
We're getting ready in our food-shovel mode, even after the All-you-can-eat Korean hot-pot last night in Harrisburg, PA :-D
These are the cutest "donuts"!
Too bad I could only order one of the unagi/eel.  That one was quite yummy. And I do love seaweed and the octopus salad:
Charlie was very happy to be sitting next to the conveyer belt:
Finish up with some Hershey ice-cream, although there's a little note on the lid that says it's not in any way affiliated to the Hershey chocolate!
One last night in a hotel.  We have a suite and somehow 2 bedrooms? Bobby is busy on his computer in the living area:
Graham has already claimed one bed:
And Charlie, the other bed!
Charlie and I have been catching up on the series Stranger Things on Netflix. That's been kinda fun!

Boys stayed up until midnight. Bobby was already fast asleep. Ha!
Well, going to bed early didn't do much good for Bobby, as he missed breakfast!  I almost always miss hotel breakfasts. LOL!
Looks like Graham was not too keen either. He was busy watching Harry Potter. Ha ha!
We finally motivated for the drive home. First meal of the day was at Culver's. Oh boy, we'll need to watch out waistline for the new year!
Speaking of which, 52 consecutive weeks of using the GolfForever swing trainer. Woohoo!!
It's definitely helped my overall well-being and keeping up with all the youth clinics at work! I'll need to do it at least 2-3 times a week during the off-season. Somehow even with the extra time, I'm down to only once a week or so!

More Christmas celebration ~ Dec 2025

Road trip to Grandma's for Christmas! It's amazing how much we pack. LOL!!
I'm obviously not responsible for this HUGE bag of pop-corn.  The worse is when Bobby drops pop-corn in between the seats. NOOOooo!!!
Gloomy travel day:
Bobby has a job interview while we're on the road, so boys and I venture into this little town of Grove City, PA:
Charlie is my model for the window display :-)
He's working it!
Graham seems to bring his Switch everywhere he goes.  And come to find out, even to school!
Dinner time and the boys get a couple of paper kids' menu.  Graham is doing origami and Charlie is drawing with crayons.  Love it when there's no phones involved:
Another day on the road, and yes... that's bag of popcorn is still around!
Foggy day:
Lunch time at a ramen/Asian spot.  Yummm...
And immediately back on the phone when the meal is done!
I wonder where they get that from - all that phone use.  Hmmmm....
Went to a coffee shop not too far from the restaurant.  Looks like it used to be a bank.  Check out that door for the safe!
Pretty cool.  I do love that they didn't demolish the history.  Although I'm guessing it probably would have been too expensive to do so.  Ha ha!
Made it to New Jersey!
Look at this new member of the family at my brother-in-law's place.  How cute is Guinness, the puppy!
Let's eat!
Graham and Charlie and some of their cousins:
Graham and Charlie have definitely grown these past 3 years!
Never too old for some new underwear as Christmas presents :-)
Also received an ice-cream maker from Grandma and Pop-pop.  I bet the boys are excited to get this one home to try it out!
Bobby never misses a beat making pork roll and eggs for breakfast while at his mom's:
Boxing Day meal:
So glad we're able to be here for the holidays!
The next day, we head over to the Swing Loose indoor golf - NJ facility.  Unfortunately, the booking was make for the IL location. And it was way too busy to squeeze in a tee time.  So we made it up with some photos, coffee, and scones:
If anything, Bobby was also able to catch up with his brother some more.  And funny enough, this brother actually worked for Swing Loose at one time, right before the Covid pandemic. Talk about a small world!

Pretty cool mural. I should have taken a photo of it from the inside of the restaurant:
Remember I mentioned about all that popcorn in the car? Well, looks like there are M&M's too!! Urgh!
Driving home and all the salt trucks are lined up, ready for the winter storm:
Glad we are heading home and not having to go anywhere in this weather.  Yikes!!
Well, looks like they weren't wrong about the weather prediction yesterday! Glad it's going to be a lazy day:
