Just a collection of photos from the month of June. Starting out with a panoramic photo by the boys' school - the one they attended when we first arrived here in SoCal. Charlie was only in Kindergarten then and Graham in 2nd Grade. The views around here/Lunada Bay is pretty sweet!
Another beach day for surfing. Charlie and Daddy are happily on the chairs:Daddy has been busy with his crossword puzzles:
I'm going to miss the ocean for sure when we move to Illinois!
Hopefully lake life will be just as good. Not sure how we will deal with the humidity, but guess we'll have to! And Graham has not quite mastered his surfing yet. Perhaps we can use his surfboard as a paddle board?!
Here's a collection of plants that we plan on bringing with us to IL, or at least have the movers take:
I hope the plants will survive the interstate trip especially if we're only planning on being there a couple of weeks after moving out of our home here. I managed to get one of the agave babies for our new place:
It was probably about this same size when we first got it from our neighbor in Phoenix when we moved to California. That was 5 years ago. Looks at the Mama Agave now!

Our little snack cans finally arrived. We actually ate multiple boxes of Cheerios for this:
And then I went to Costco and bought some more but somehow Graham says they don't taste the same??!Here is Charlie's puppet that he made for school this year. It's a little Piggy - part of the 3 little pigs. We didn't get a chance to watch the Puppet Show at school because there was a minor outbreak of Covid. I'm so bummed! But I'm so glad he was still able to participate especially after missing quite a few days due to Production:
I'm glad Bobby was able to do Donut Day for Dads with Charlie at school too before the end of the school year:
More sweets! There was a class party for 4th Grade for Charlie. Not sure why there wasn't one for Graham's class?!One of Charlie's friend is also leaving Rancho Palos Verdes and we were invited for their going-away party. Both Graham and Charlie were wondering why they can't have a party like this (at an amusement center) for all of their friends. Hmmm, let's think about it!
Some June Gloom photos. I still can't believe how foggy it gets by our place and/or on the way to school in the mornings:It's always so pretty on the way down this hill - with the golf course below:
And yes, our house is in escrow!!! And as of today, we just signed some loan documents. Took forever but so glad how everything is slowly but surely coming together. Fingers crossed still until we actually get to IL!
First day of summer holiday and we are at Costco. Ha ha!
Another batch of crepes, courtesy of Graham and Charlie:
Super yum!!
And this time, we didn't even supervise them over the stove. Hmm, should I have said that?! Ha ha!
Graham finally finished up his birthday Lego project - a Ford Raptor. Look how huge it is!
Charlie is already eyeing a Lego project for himself for his birthday. Although, just yesterday he told me that he wants a new laptop instead. We'll see. These boys' toys just get more and more expensive as they get older!
