Arizona Women's Open

I decided to play in the Arizona Women's Open, which was held at the Foothills Golf Club in Phoenix last week.  It was my first golf tournament back since giving birth to Charlie.  Thankfully, we were able to use carts although I did walk on the first day, using my new fancy push cart.  But phew... what a work-out!

For the 3-day event, I shot 75, 73, and 74 and finished tied for 33rd out of 70-some players.  Not too shabby I guess, for not really practicing all that much.  I did start out my Day 1 with a 4-putt double bogey on the first hole. I putt, I miss... I putt, I miss...  Thankfully I was able to keep the rest of the day under control :-)

Since Bobby had to travel back to Tulsa during my tournament week (otherwise, I would have put him to work on the bag!), the two boys had a babysitter.  Thankfully Graham enjoyed spending time with the babysitter because it was 3 long days for her!  He even continued to play with some of the games they had drawn out together when I got home.

Charlie is 3 months old

Charlie is getting to be quite my chunk of love!  He turned 3 months old end of last month (yes... I'm a little bit behind with my blogging).  He's been smiling and now laughing more, which is so cute to see.
This past month, we introduced Charlie to the jumpy-jump. Not quite touching the floor yet!

In the meantime, brother Graham still enjoys sitting on Charlie's bouncy chair.  As long as he doesn't break it!

Trip to another pumpkin patch

Back in Tulsa, we decided to visit the same pumpkin patch that we had gone to last year.  Graham wore the same pumpkin outfit that I had made for him.

When we arrived, we had to wake everyone up!

And then, we were off!

 Graham headed straight for the playhouses, just like he did last year.

My hopes of taking some nice family pictures basically just faded away. So instead, I decided to take some pictures of Charlie:

We were trying so hard to get Graham to sit/stand by the pumpkins so we can get a nice picture, but nope... moving on to the next thing!



 Meanwhile, Charlie has fallen asleep... :-D

Phoenix trip - Part 2

While in Phoenix, Graham just loved playing with all the gravel in the backyard:

I did try to get the two boys to sit awhile together. I'm glad Graham didn't mind putting his arm around Charlie!

Like Graham, Charlie is now scooting himself to the corner of the crib when he sleeps:

 But unlike Graham, he has yet to love bath time!

And oh! We had our first babysitter for Charlie! He finally drank from the bottle!  It wasn't much but at least he didn't go too hungry.

When it was finally time to leave Phoenix, we decided to drive instead of fly.  

We stopped in Flagstaff - which is about 3 hours away on Day 1.  Charlie's cheeks were so red - probably from the elevation change:

And on Day 2 - it was about 500 miles from Flagstaff to Tucumcari, NM.  Graham had more than one Happy Meal on the trip:

And we got suckered into buying another bulldozer for Graham, although this one did keep him occupied for most of Day 3 too - which was another 500 miles from Tucumcari to Tulsa.

And with so many pictures of Graham, here is just one of Charlie. It was rather difficult to take pictures of Charlie since he was facing the other way in his carseat right behind me.  And here is one of those rare moments when he was actually quiet!

Phoenix trip - Part 1

Last week was Graham's Fall break from school/daycare so we all decided to go to Phoenix.  It was Charlie's first plane ride.  I thought he did great!  At the end of it, it was actually Graham that got a little cranky and fussy.

The double/tandem stroller that we bought is working out great for the two boys:

Charlie was hungry starting out, but once he was fed, everyone was happy:

While in Phoenix, we did a lot of things.  We went to the mall where Graham was able to have fun on the children's rides:

And one day, on our way to In-and-Out burger, Graham fell asleep in the minivan.  So we parked in front of the building and ate at one of the tables on the front patio while Graham slept:

We also visited a local pumpkin patch.  Graham had fun decorating a pumpkin with Daddy, although I really wonder who had more fun:

But he was not a happy camper!  Charlie just cried...

Charlie has been smiling a lot more and also trying to "talk".  Just so cute!

And funny enough, occasionally when Charlie sneezes, he would follow the sneeze by saying "aaaiiiiii..." just like his big brother Graham when Graham was a baby (seen here at 2 months old: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyL8639y-ac)

Charlie is doing a lot better in his carseat.  He did not cry once at all today when I dropped Graham off at school and on the way home. Quite an improvement from last week and the several weeks before that too!

A trip to the Fire Station

We were playing at the play ground on Friday and since Graham and his two other buddies were starting to lose interest, I suggested that we visit the Fire Station not too far from the playground.  When we arrived, there was not a soul in sight!  So we just stood and looked at the fire engines from the back of the station and then, walked around the building to see the vehicles from the front of the station.  The boys were all holding hands while walking. It was too cute!

We then decided it was time to go, when I noticed a fire engine pulling into the station!  So we all unbuckled the kids out of their carseats and hurried back to the station.  We were finally able to get someones attention and the captain of the station gave us a quick tour of Fire Engine #6.  The boys were so excited!

Well, that was the excitement on Friday.  And today, Graham invented his own "popsicle" as he called it.  It's a graham cracker treat filled with peanut butter - which he put in between a bag clip.  Quite clever actually!

And in the meantime, little brother Charlie is learning to roll over. I'm pretty sure he just got lucky this time.  The crib does actually slant a little to one side.

He is definitely smiling a lot more. I love that smile!

 And... he's already picking up his head at 2 months old!
